How Much Are Member Fees?

The new member fees are based on your level of membership with our Association.

When you join MCAR, you are also a member of the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

MCAR …………………….. due every July.
CAR and NAR …………. due every January.

Supra eKey ……………… due on the 26th of every month.

How do I sign up for the MLSListings, Inc.?

  • Visit the MLSListings, Inc. website for training classes & tech support at www.pro.mlslistings.com.
  • Click here to join MLSListings, Inc.
  • The fee schedule will be in the online MLS application.

How do I get a SUPRA Key or a Lockbox?

  • The Supra ekey is processed remotely and can be leased once you complete your online registration with MLSListings, Inc.
  • Supra offers the eKey and a Supra App for your iPhone or Android phone.
  • Your Supra eKey will work in the following counties: Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara & Silicon Valley.
  • iBox BT LE lockboxes can be purchased at the MCAR office located at 5 Harris Court, Building A, Monterey, CA 93940.
  • Contact MCAR at (831) 393-8660 or email tina@mcar.com to request a Supra eKey.

How do I get zipForms?

zipForms is included with your REALTOR® membership when you join the Monterey County Association of REALTORS®, California Association of REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS®. zipForms is a free member benefit courtesy of California Association of REALTORS®. Begin creating a username and password online at www.car.org to begin using zipForms.

How and when do I renew my real estate license?

  • Select eLicensing then create a username and password to begin the online renewal process.
  • You can begin the renewal process as early as 90 days prior to your license expiration date.
  • A credit card and your license renewal course certificate numbers will be needed to complete your online renewal with the Department of Real Estate.
  • Please note: Your license renewal is not complete until your Broker certifies your employment using eLicensing.

What is a LFRO office or agent?

A Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO) is a separate entity that sponsors real estate licensees or appraisers whose sole function is to refer prospective clients to a particular broker.

  • LFRO’s (referral agents) cannot practice any real estate activities nor can a LFRO have MLS or key access.
  • Broker and/or LFRO agents please contact tina@mcar.com to request a LFRO certification form.

What is a MLO agent?

A Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) is an individual who takes a residential mortgage loan application or offers or negotiates terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain. An individual real estate licensee acting within the meaning of Section 10131 (d) of the Business and Professions Code (B&P) is a mortgage loan originator with respect to activities involving residential mortgage loans.

  • MLO’s cannot practice any real estate activities nor can a MLO have MLS or key access.
